The 11 Natural Beauty Brands That You Need In Your Life
Natural beauty – good for you and the planet too
Natural beauty products are increasing in popularity and dramatically so. Once found only in dusty tubs in health food stores, natural beauty ranges are now taking pride of place in swank department stores where they’re being snapped up and fast. Indeed, these days natural beauty products are available pretty much everywhere beauty products are sold including mainstream pharmacies and even supermarkets.
We’re pretty delighted about that. Why? Well, as far as we’re concerned green is good. Natural products are good for the environment and us too. You may not be aware of this but the vast majority of regular cosmetics contain ingredients in particular parabens and phthalates. These two nasties have been linked to a range of health concerns, from reproductive issues, such as fertility problems and miscarriage. It’s thought they may even increase your chances of developing certain types of cancer. Avoiding them can’t hurt.
The only problem is we use skincare because we want results. And natural products can’t possibly provide those results right? Well, actually wrong. The truth is there’s now a whole bunch of natural beauty products that are every bit as effective as their not-so-natural cousins.
“People often think that natural means simple or untested, but natural ingredients are actually (some of) the most powerful ingredients in the world,” skincare line owner Tata Harper told Fast Company recently.
