Peach Makeup And How To Make It Work For You

Peach makeup is everywhere right now and there’s a reason for that.

It suits pretty much everyone and it looks fresh and youthful too. Seriously. No matter how fair and olive-skinned you are, whether you’re 17 or 103, peach tones will provide a sweet, natural-looking glow that’s both golden and gorgeous.

No wonder we’re seeing so much of it right now.

Celebrity makeup artist Helen Dowsley (Sophie Monk is just one of her famous clients) says the true beauty of this particular hue is that it’s truly warm.

“It’s the perfect shade in that it provides a lift,” says Helen, the creator of Helen Dowsley Lashes.

“It catches the light, it’s flattering and it can be worn during both the day and night.”

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in Malibu Peach, $16.95.

The trick, says Helen, is to choose peach shades that work for you.

Luckily, that’s pretty simple.

Lighter-skinned women will look best in nude to pinky shades of peach, while darker-skinned women can wear anything they please but will look particularly beautiful in rich, orangey shades.

Another bonus is that you can wear it all over, or just choose a product or two for a subtle highlighting effect. If you’re a little nervous we recommend you start with bare eyes, loads of lashes and super peachy cheeks.

Alternatively, apply a wash of peach shadow across the eyelid to the brow bone. Take a slighter darker peach toned shadow and blend it into the crease of the eye for definition. If you’re still keen, there’s plenty of beautiful peach lip products out there – from sheer hint of peach gloss to bold, mattes.
