I’m a Beauty Editor and so makeup and skincare are my world. I know what works, what doesn’t and what falls somewhere smack bang in the middle. This means that I get hit up – a LOT – for recommendations. Sometimes, even by other sites and also newspapers and magazines.
Just recently I was interviewed by another beauty editor who wanted me to reveal my five favourite products. And so I did.
And then I figured you might like to know as well. So here we go. Beauty Editor drum roll please …
My All-Time Five Best Products Are …
La Roche Posay Micellar Water for Ultra Sensitive Skin, $25.95.
My skin is sensitised – not sensitive – but I love this micellar water. It cleanses every last bit of makeup, even when I’ve been on TV and have a full face, and it doesn’t upset my reactive complexion.
La Mer Genaissance De La Mer The Infused Lotion, $340.
Like I said, I’m a beauty editor which means I’m terribly lucky because I get to try products I couldn’t otherwise EVER afford. This lotion goes on like velvet and leaves my skin soothed, soft and strengthened. It really is unlike anything I’ve ever tried before.
Benefit BAD Gal Bang Volumising Mascara, $42.
A lot of mascaras promise a lot of things but this one delivers. Long, full lashes that you honestly have to see to believe. They’re AMAZING.
Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturising Lip Colour Balm, $36.
I love all of the colours in this range. They provide sheer, pretty colour and (thanks to the chunky format) they’re so easy to apply I can do without a mirror.
Natio Love Being You Colour Collection – Warm Radiance Mineral Blusher & Bronzer Palette, $17.95.
Provides the most natural-looking flush of blush ever. It’s perfect – always – whether you use fingers or a brush.
